ZF Aftermarket sets the pace for e-mobility at EV Ready Show

Date: Friday 10 February 2023

ZF Aftermarket has reported the EV Ready show as a huge success, with the event sparking stimulating conversations around future mobility opportunities available to the automotive aftermarket.

More than 350 garage owners and vehicle technicians flocked to the newly launched event, which took place at Brighton Racecourse, to learn more about the latest electric-vehicle (EV) innovations and opportunities, with around 20 exhibitors on hand to offer a unique, first-hand insight.

Visitors were also able to engage in a series of panels hosted by experts in EV repair and maintenance, all of which generated a number of thought-provoking and engaging discussions.

ZF Aftermarket in particular reported significant interest from technicians around the topic of the future of EVs and the necessary qualifications and training required to help futureproof themselves and their businesses.

ZF [pro]Tech has an extensive programme on this topic, including its High Voltage Expert qualification, which covers the complete range of topics needed for the technology of the future, while considering professional association standards.

The event also provided the aftermarket specialist with the opportunity to showcase its dedicated range of products, specially designed for the EV market, as the company remains committed to ensuring the industry has access to high-quality parts to service all vehicle types.

Martyn Houghton, Country Manager – IAM UK & Ireland at ZF Services UK, said:

“It was really encouraging to see such a thirst for knowledge around the electric vehicle market. It’s clear that we’re quickly headed towards an alternative-fuelled vehicle parc, and it is therefore imperative that technicians and workshops are fully equipped to be able to service, maintain and repair these vehicles.
“It’s an exciting time and at ZF, we’re committed to ensuring the aftermarket has access to the right products and support to work on future mobility, ensuring they can continue to thrive long into the future.”
