WJFC Community Football Club secures sponsorship from LKQ Euro Car Parts

Date: Friday 06 October 2023

The team at LKQ Euro Car Parts in Cannock has agreed a sponsorship deal with the under 12’s girls’ team at Wyrley Community Football Club (WJFC) and has sponsored the club’s second ground that is close to completion.

Located on Lakeside Business Park, the Cannock branch of LKQ Euro Car Parts is part of a 280-strong network that helps to keep the country moving, supplying parts and components to drivers, garages and the emergency services.

With more than 70 teams, WJFC is the largest community football club in Staffordshire and shares LKQ Euro Car Parts’ commitment to doing good in the local community and beyond.

In recent years, both organisations have carried out significant fundraising work to support those affected by the war on the ground in Ukraine, and both are champions of equal opportunities for boys and girls, and men and women.

Gareth Taylor, branch manager at LKQ Euro Car Parts in Cannock said:

“The under 12 girls’ team at WJFC is a fantastic team with so much talent. The new kit looks brilliant as will the ground. We look forward to supporting the whole club and are pleased to have played a part in creating a fun space where local girls can enjoy and excel in sport.”

Keith Hardy, Chairman at Wyrley Community Football Club said:

“The support we’ve received from LKQ Euro Car Parts is fantastic. The team has been down to meet the girls and watch them play. You can really tell that they’re committed to the local community.”
