TMD Friction’s Nick Hayes recognised with Outstanding Achievement award at IAAF annual ceremony

After an illustrious career at TMD Friction spanning close to 21 years, Nick Hayes, UK Sales Manager for Car has been honoured with the Outstanding Achievement award at the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) Awards 2023.

​Nick has enjoyed a long career within the industry having worked for companies including Express Factors, Unipart, Autogem and MAFCO.

​The award was presented by Kayleigh Bradley from award sponsor, Glen Callum Associates, and IAAF Chief Executive, Mark Field, who shared comments from across the industry, with customers and colleagues noting, without exception, Hayes‘s warmth, kindness and his tendency to make a mark.

​Having worked for TMD Friction since 2004, Nick has progressed throughout his time at the company, making strong relationships with customers along the way.

​With Nick retiring at the end of 2023, the award celebrates his distinguished career.

​Mark Field, Chief Executive of the IAAF, commended Nick's achievements: “Nick has certainly made his mark on this industry and I’m certain that everyone he has worked alongside will be sad to see him retire.

​“Hearing some of the comments made sums up his work ethic and personality, with customers noting that his customer support is second to none, reflecting on the ‘true gentleman’ who not only has ‘brilliant customer focus’ but also is ‘a great ambassador for the company and the motor trade.’

​“We thank Nick for his contributions to the trade and wish him a very happy and relaxing retirement.”
