TechMan returns as sponsor of Top Technician / Top Garage 2023

Date: Thursday 31 August 2023

TechMan has announced it will once again be a main partner of the Top Technician / Top Garage Awards for 2023. It will also be sponsoring the new Workplace Health and Wellbeing Award in association with the automotive industry charity, Ben.

Now in its 21st year, Top Technician and Top Garage 2023 partners with the Garage Equipment Association (GEA), the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) and the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), and along with TechMan, is also sponsored by Snap-on, TOPDON, Delphi Technologies, BookMyGarage, ALLDATA Europe, TP and Motul.

The awards were created to recognise outstanding technicians and garages in the sector. Both the finals of Top Technician and Top Garage will be held on the same day at the DoubleTree Hilton, Coventry on Saturday 14th October, where all of the award winners will be announced.

As part of its sponsorship, TechMan will be giving winners of the awards £250 worth of shopping vouchers.

A new-for-2023 workplace award has also been added to Top Garage, in association with Ben. The ‘Workplace Health and Wellbeing Award’ will be judged through Ben’s Health and Wellbeing assessment framework.

Garages in the competition will initially be asked to undertake a self-assessment, and then a shortlist will be put together and those who make it to the Top Garage final will face an interview panel to discuss their assessment further.

This award has been added to the roster to identify and celebrate companies who are working hard to ensure they are offering a positive, safe and supportive working environment.

As part of this sponsorship, the winner of this award will receive a £100 gift voucher donated by TechMan.

Leo Freebairn, national sales manager at TechMan says:

“It’s great to be back partnering the Top Technician / Top Garage awards this year to show our continued support for technicians and garages across the country.
“And we’re pleased to be able to support Ben’s new Workplace Health and Wellbeing Award this year. It is extremely important for businesses to provide the best and safest working conditions for employees and we’re looking forward to meeting all of the finalists for this award and find out the practices they’re putting in place to ensure a great working environment.”

Freebairn adds:

“We’d like to wish everyone good luck for the awards – and we’ll see you all in October!”
