Stoney Cross Garage Takes Home Servicesure Autocentre of the Year 2023

Date: Friday 20 October 2023

Thursday 12 October saw the top Servicesure garages descend on Coombe Abbey hotel for the national garage programme’s annual Autocentre of the Year awards.

The awards were Servicesure’s largest to date, and this year prior to the main event was a trade show featuring headline sponsors Comma and Dephi as well as key parts suppliers and business services to the Servicesure network.

Servicesure is owned and operated by leading motor factor GSF Car Parts, with all 600+ of its member garages adhering to strict levels of quality and service.

GSF Car Parts Head of Servicesure, Paul Dineen, said: “It was a brilliant night to celebrate the fantastic work that all our Servicesure garages do and for us to recognise their contribution to customers across the UK.

“There are many excellent garages within the Servicesure programme and it’s so important for them to know that what they’re doing is recognised, not just by us, but by the customers they serve and an independent judging panel of leading automotive industry stakeholders.

“The Autocentre of the Year awards are a great opportunity to showcase what we’re able to offer our garage members and how they are successfully using the attributes of Servicesure to strengthen and develop their businesses.”

The awards cover a comprehensive range of categories and aim to give recognition to Servicesure members, service providers and GSF staff who have shown outstanding performance throughout the year.

Stoney Cross Garage, based in Derby, took home the overall Autocentre of the Year Award. Meanwhile, Servicesure’s leading EVsure scheme awarded Cheltenham-based Cleevely Electric Vehicles the EVSure Garage of the Year accolade. Parts Supplier and Business Service Provider were won by Schaeffler and Slicker respectively, with GSF’s Nathan Scott taking home the award for Servicesure Development Manager for his hard work over the last 12 months.

Julian Hazeldine, owner of Stoney Cross Garage, said: “Our relationship with Servicesure has always been brilliant, so it felt really good to win this award as it shows we are recognised for what we do. The team and I do a lot of hours and it’s great to see that work pay off.

“We’ve been with Servicesure for four years and the relationship has only ever improved. We get regular visits and we make sure our staff are trained to the highest standards through the resources available with Servicesure. The communication is excellent and there’s nothing that’s too much trouble for them. We’ve got a really strong team here and it’s stronger all the time thanks to Servicesure.”

EVSure Garage of the Year Award and Special Recognition Award Winner Matt Cleevely said: “It was a huge surprise to win and the Special Recognition Award was really overwhelming. We’ve been with Servicesure for around three years now and it’s a fantastic network to be a part of. I really admire what they’re doing, especially in promoting the specialism of EV repair and maintenance, which can only be good for the wider trade.

“We never take anything for granted. It’s a massive team effort here and my wife and I are so grateful to have a team that understand the future of the industry and are happy to work towards it. Winning an award is never something we assume we’re going to do, so it’s fantastic to be recognised.”

The Autocentre of the Year awards enable GSF and Servicesure to show their appreciation for the Servicesure community and the brilliant work they do for the customers. Please see the image attached for a full list of winners.
