SMP Europe brings automotive industry to global sport display with corporate hospitality

Engine management specialist SMP Europe has successfully enhanced its customer experience with the use of its corporate hospitality suite, bringing the automotive aftermarket to the Ice Hockey World Championship qualifiers, held at the Motorpoint Arena.
With its headquarters in Nottingham, SMP Europe’s support for the Great Britain team in the event demonstrates its commitment to the local community and gives the brand the opportunity to promote its engineering expertise in engine management and ignition products to a wider audience.

All eyes were on the ice rink of the Motorpoint Arena from April 29th as Great Britain, Italy, Lithuania, Korea, Poland and Romania battled it out to secure promotion to the sport’s top division and compete for the World Championships held in Czechia in 2024.
Previous editions of the World Championships have achieved massive global TV audiences, with the 2020 edition of the annual tournament the fourth in a row to achieve over a billion viewers. In 2023, nearly 80 broadcasters across over 150 territories will televise the championship.
Prominent and striking SMP Europe advertising boards including its Intermotor and Lucas brands, surrounded the championship ice rink at the Motorpoint Arena, plus vibrant SMP Europe branding featuring on the two Zamboni ice resurfacing machines. The company also provided support to the championship through tournament volunteers.
SMP Europe holds a hospitality suite at the Motorpoint Arena all year round for various events as well as ice hockey available to its customers.
