Shaftec’s new website distributor finder further connects the aftermarket

Date: Monday 27 March 2023

Shaftec, the Drive. Steer. Stop expert has introduced a new ‘Distributor Finder’ section on its website. The Distributor Finder allows the user to identify Shaftec Distributors in the UK and Ireland, within a five-, 10-, 20- or 30-mile radius to locate the parts they need quickly and easily. It can be found by clicking here Find your nearest Distributor - Shaftec

Shaftec introduced a new website for its customers across the UK & European independent automotive aftermarket (IAM) in 2022. This new functionality is driven by Shaftec’s promise that it would continue to enhance and develop the website to make working life easier and increase brand awareness. It’s also in line with the company’s belief that it is through open connection of the market and increased transparency that aftermarket partners can maintain a level playing field and remain competitive.

“Time is money and customers expect a job to be done quickly and efficiently,” explains Adrian Kitchen, Shaftec’s Marketing Manager. “A good, jargon free website with clear sections is a prerequisite to good working practices. Our new website was built to meet the needs of our customers in the first place and so we continue to listen to them and where possible, make improvements.”

The business believes that now more than ever before it is essential to offer customers a choice when it comes to aftermarket parts.

Adrian continues:

“As a sector, we need to work together to be as open and transparent as we can to preserve the integrity of - and to grow - the aftermarket’s well-deserved slice of the business available. We owe it to ourselves and to our customers to make sure the aftermarket’s offer is competitive, efficient, and always available. Updating our websites to reflect that is an essential part of the process.”

With links to three comprehensive cataloguing data sources, Shaftec’s ECAT, MAM and TecDoc, the easy to navigate, fact-based Shaftec website allows easy and quick identification of more than 22,000-part numbers, and in addition hosts a wealth of technical information.

It’s organised by the company’s key areas of Drive. Steer & Stop to represent Shaftec’s offer of remanufactured and new transmission, steering and braking products. These areas are identified by their respective key colours of green, orange and red. This simple, but effective design model will help futureproof the company as it can grow organically to capture new business. For example, the recently introduced range of new propshafts is situated within the Drive section in green.
