Parts Specialists at the Truck Grand Prix

The 35th Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring took place from 15-17 July 2022. More than 100,000 visitors watched the spectacular truck races and enjoyed the numerous exhibits on the festival grounds. The Parts Specialists team from Diesel Technic, including Kevin and Lars, who are well-known in the community for their YouTube videos with hints and tips from the workshop, were also there.

DT Spare Parts has been the official sponsor of the SL Trucksport 30 racing team around the racing driver Sascha Lenz from Koblenz for three years now. After the Truck Grand Prix had to be cancelled in the last two years, the Parts Specialists did not miss the opportunity to support SL Trucksport 30 live on site at their home race and to take part in the exhibition with their own stand. The focus was on the Parts Specialists service brand and its support for workshop professionals, such as the HelpDesk, which is available for all kinds of technical questions about the product brands. The same applied to the DT Spare Parts Premium Shop, whose brand loyalty program rewards customer loyalty with attractive rewards and vouchers. But also the training videos on YouTube and the Parts Specialists Club for members with 5,000 collected crowns and more were presented to the visitors.

In addition to cold drinks and a beer pong table, an exciting exchange of experiences and valuable feedback from workshop professionals, drivers and hauliers ensured fun and a relaxed atmosphere at the stand.

The highlight were the various races in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. While Sascha Lenz was initially unlucky due to a broken spring, which meant his premature retirement for the first race, he worked his way up to 8th, 2nd and 5th place in the following rounds and was thus able to secure 3rd place in the overall statistics with his MAN truck. After a short summer break, the European Truck Racing Championship will continue on 3-4 September 2022 in Most, Czech Republic.

VIP guests were three members of the Parts Specialists Club, who spent the day at SL Trucksport 30 in the paddock and were allowed to look behind the scenes of a race weekend. Experiences were exchanged while talking shop with the mechanics of the racing team. In addition, the club members learned interesting facts about the construction of Sascha Lenz's MAN race truck.
