Location announced for 2023 Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards hosted by IAAF

The IAAF has announced that the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2023, hosted by the federation and headline sponsored by LKQ Euro Car Parts, will take place at Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Being held on Wednesday 7 June, the awards will celebrate the very best of the garage industry and acknowledge the commitment and dedication independent garages and technicians have made to ensuring affordable mobility in the UK over the past few years.

There are eight award categories including: Garage of the Year, Best Independent Garage (Single-Site), Best Independent Garage (Multi-Site), Best Community initiative, ‘Auto-Mechanik’ of the year, Best marketing award, Best customer service award and the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award.

Nominations for each award can be made here and criteria on each award can be found on the IAAF website and multiple entries will be accepted.

Shortlisted companies / individuals will receive two free tickets to the awards evening at Hilton Birmingham Metropole at 6pm. The event includes networking opportunities, awards and prize giving, a three-course meal and exciting entertainment.

The IAAF represents the largest number of motor factors and suppliers in the automotive aftermarket and in recent months has added more than 1500 garages into membership.

Mark Field, IAAF chief executive, said:

“The IAAF is returning to the Hilton Birmingham Metropole for the first time in almost a decade. It will be a great opportunity for IAAF to highlight its ongoing work to garages while celebrating the very best in our industry through the garage awards.”

IAAF fights for the rights of the entire aftermarket supply chain on issues such as access to repair and maintenance information, block exemption and, safeguarding the current MOT test frequency.
