The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation

IAAF conference returns face-to-face for 2022

Date: Friday 16 September 2022

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF)’s annual conference is back for 2022 and will take place on Thursday 8th December at Double Tree Hilton in Milton Keynes.

As the world returns to the new normal, post pandemic, the IAAF is pleased to host its annual conference and awards dinner for 2022, face-to-face, after two years of virtual events.

The theme for this year’s IAAF conference will be ‘Overcoming adversity, the path to a prosperous aftermarket future’. The sector, like many others, is faced with numerous internal and external challenges including Brexit, Covid-19, supply chain and logistics issues, and skills shortages. The conference will explore these and the opportunities available to each and every business and individual in the automotive aftermarket.

Mark Field, chief executive of IAAF, said:

“The conference and awards ceremony is the jewel in the crown for the Federation’s vibrant calendar of events and we’re really looking forward to meeting again at the DoubleTree by Hilton. We have high-profile speakers throughout the day, with some excellent evening entertainment lined up too, so it’s one not to miss.”

Inspirational war veteran and campaigner Robin Horsfall will be the keynote speaker this year. Horsfall’s iconic speeches are underlined with the theme of overcoming adversity – following a difficult family life as a child, he joined the army at the age of 15, where he experienced isolation and bullying, before becoming an SAS solider at 21.

Neil Pattemore, UK AFCAR & IAAF Technical Director, will give an insight into legislation affecting the UK Automotive Aftermarket in a post Brexit era. And Quentin Le Hêtet will present the findings of the first IAAF Aftermarket Trend index of industry businesses. More speakers to be announced soon.

The evening will see the IAAF’s Annual Dinner, The AFTERmarket Party of the Year, which will feature comedian Omid Djalili, and an award ceremony bigger than ever before.

With just over 70 percent of available tickets already booked, the Federation is encouraging members to book soon to guarantee a place.
