Govt to IAAF: “Approach to net zero is technology neutral”

The IAAF recently corresponded with the Minister of State for Transport who confirmed the Government’s strategy remains net zero exhaust emissions, but it was also confirmed that the ability to continue to use second hand vehicles that have internal combustion engines is also part of their strategy.
This helps to support affordable mobility, but the IAAF remains concerned about the alternatives to electric vehicles and how these other alternatives, such as hydrogen fuel cells, can be part of a more practical and pragmatic net zero solution.
