Activity Report Special – MVBER Consultation

The IAAF and UK AFCAR have been working around the clock to arrive at a response to the consultation from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) on retained Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation (retained MVBER).
We welcome and support the CMA’s intent to revise and improve the MV-BER into an MV-BEO. We also welcome the aspects that are both logical and needed to address the changes in the sector created by new technologies and business models, or to address the compliance requirements since the current MV-BER was implemented.
The CMA is seeking responses from all interested stakeholders by 22 August (5pm). Members are encouraged to register their support of the IAAF / UK AFCAR position by emailing mvberreview@cma.gov.uk.
