The UKCA mark: the new domestic regime

Date: Thursday 17 June 2021

BEIS, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, will be hosting a webinar on Thursday 24th June at 2 pm to focus on New Approach goods, which were previously covered by the CE marking.

With the transition period coming to an end on 31 December 2020, following the UK's withdrawal from the EU, BEIS is to host a webinar to explain what actions will need to take place for businesses to get ready for the new rules.

As of 1st January 2021, the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark became the new UK product marking for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland), with the CE mark (together with UKNI mark) applicable to Northern Ireland.

The webinar on Thursday 24th June at 2 pm will focus on New Approach goods, which were previously covered by the CE marking. The webinar will cover the existing transitional measures and key actions businesses need to take now.

The webinar will be organised by the Goods Regulation Team. Please note that this forum is for business, business representatives, organisations and trade associations only.
