Sampa UK & Ireland announce two new appointments

Sampa UK & Ireland the Manchester based commercial vehicle parts wholesaler are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Darren Miller (on the right) as their new Business Development Manager.

Darren joins the business with over 30 years, experience from working in both the OE and Independent Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket. His early career was with York Trailer Company and then with Hendrickson Europe an Axle & suspension manufacturer. Darren then moved onto TTC – Truck & Trailer Components where he gained valuable experience in a variety of roles during his 26 years at the company.

In his role as Business Development Manager for Sampa UK & Ireland, Darren will be supporting the business in a number of areas including the ongoing development of its client base, plus supporting the ongoing business growth through Marketing, Logistics, Operations and Product Development.

Darren commented on his appointment:

“I am really enjoying the new role and for me being able to draw upon my wealth of experience from my career is hugely satisfying. I decided to join Sampa because of their manufacturing capabilities, which includes one of the best R&D centers I have seen. In addition, they are also a wholesaler and coupled with the manufacturing pedigree it provides a unique position within the UK parts aftermarket and one I am pleased to be part of.”

Sampa UK & Ireland have also announced the recent appointment of Andrew Millar (on the left) as their new Regional Sales Manager.

Andy joins the business with over 30 years, experience from working in both the OE and Independent Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket. His early career was spent in the Middle East in the Marine sector, where he then moved to the United States working for Buffalo Truck Centre the largest Volvo Truck Dealer in New York. He then furthered his career in the Trailer sector working for Great Dane looking after their Truck & Trailer parts business in New York state and Pennsylvania. During the last 10 years Andrew has been serving the UK parts market in his role as Regional Sales Manager for well known Lighting manufacturer Trucklite with added responsibility for the Benelux region.

In his role as Regional Sales Manager for Sampa UK & Ireland, Andy will be looking after our customers in the South of the UK and over the coming weeks he will be in touch to arrange a review meeting so we can better understand how we can support customers further with our growing product programme’s.
