MIMS Automechanika Moscow: TecAlliance shows how to boost sales and cut costs with best-in-class data and solutions

Date: Thursday 05 August 2021

TecAlliance, the leading data management specialist in the independent automotive parts market, will be exhibiting at MIMS Automechanika Moscow from 23 to 26 August 2021. Showcasing from Pavilion 2.2, B407, TecAlliance will show its ever growing portfolio of services and solutions for the independent automotive aftermarket, that help parts manufacturers, distributors and workshop to bring their business to a whole new level.

“We have several notable solutions to demonstrate, such as our new interface called Instant Data Processing (IDP) that enables real-time updates of TecDoc data and will revolutionise product marketing,” explains Robert Szwed, Managing Director Russia & CIS at TecAlliance. “Another highlight will be the TecDoc Catalogue app, which is the customised sales enabler that helps workshops, dealers, sellers and car owners to find the correct replacement part in a most efficient and convenient way. And we will present Warranty & Returns, a module of our worldwide renowned TecCom platform, that simplifies return processes through digitisation.”

In Russia, TecAlliance operates as a Russian legal entity, with all products and solutions localised and supported by its Moscow office.

Highest data quality at reasonable prices
To ensure success in the automotive aftermarket, correct and up-to-date catalogue data must always be available at the point of service (PoS). Ever since its founding more than 25 years ago, TecAlliance has been committed to the continuous improvement of data quality and the establishment of uniform industry standards, such as the TecDoc Standard.

“Digital business models are based on data as a resource. Therefore, data quality is a critical factor for success. We are constantly taking additional measures to further increase the quality of our TecDoc database, thus significantly increasing the competitiveness of IAM information systems. Customers have a positive shopping experience when they can identify the correct product reliably, correctly and quickly based on the available catalogue data”, says Robert Szwed.
“Our goal is to make sure that our customers in Russia have access to comprehensive and legal product and vehicle information at a reasonable price. With an original TecDoc licence, you can rely on the highest data quality. All information is directly provided by the parts manufacturers, it is accurate and always up-to-date”, he continues.

The TecDoc Catalogue contains standardised data of more than 800 replacement parts brands, millions of product descriptions and product images. This best-in-class catalogue information can now also be accessed with a mobile app that is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Shaping the future of product marketing
TecAlliance has launched a new interface called Instant Data Processing (IDP) that enables real-time updates of TecDoc data and will fundamentally change product marketing in the independent automotive aftermarket.

“With Instant Data Processing, we are entering a new era in the marketing of replacement parts”, explains Robert Szwed. “Real-time updates of product information bring advantages for all participants in the IAM. We will show how IDP drastically simplifies and improves product marketing processes and allows our customers to concentrate on their core business – namely selling their products in the best possible way.”

Reduce costs and time for the handling of warranty and returns claims
Another topic that TecAlliance will address at MIMS is the optimisation of returns processes, which are a tiresome issue for all parties involved. TecAlliance will present Warranty & Returns, a module of the international B2B platform TecCom, that helps to reduce costs and efforts.

“According to the experience of our customers, up to 10 percent of all ordered replacement parts are returned − for various reasons. The handling is expensive and time-consuming and the transports place a burden on the environment”, explains Robert Szwed. “With our Warranty & Returns module, we radically simplify return processes through digitisation.”

Warranty & Returns has many advantages for parts manufacturers, wholesalers and workshops. The Online Portal allows to create, submit and decide on warranty and return claims – free of charge, without prior installation of any software and in less than three minutes.
