Lucas Oil driver delivers podium and presentation finishes

Tony Lynch and his Lucas Oil-sponsored MR2 delivered a podium finish and impressed the pit lane judges with the award for best vehicle presentation at the first meeting of the 2022 Retro Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill.

He and his Landsail Team Geriatric Toyota are literally looking good for a BTRDA Championship challenge for the 2022 title, lying second overall after the first two rounds.

“To receive the Martin Schanche Trophy [for presentation] was an unexpected surprise but one we are very proud of as a team,” he said after the meeting. We put a huge amount of time and effort into our presentation because we know how important it is when it comes to representing the various sponsors who allow us to go racing. This award is for them as much as the team."

As well as racing on Lucas Oil 20W50, the team uses Lucas Oil’s Slick Mist Polish – a product that always delivers a showroom finish for any car even under difficult race-day conditions.

Other Lucas Oil produces used include 75/90 Synthetic Gear Oil, the Toolbox Buddy instant lubricant and various greases from the Lucas Oil Workshop Range.

The next two Retro Rallycross Championship rounds take place on 14/15th May at the Pembury Circuit, in Carmarthenshire, Wales.
