Immigration skills charge regulations (April 2017)

This primarily affects businesses employing Tier 2 migrant workers in skilled jobs. The charge will be £,1,000 a year for every employee, reduced to ,£,364 for small or charitable organisations. You&rsquo,ll usually be considered to be a small business if your annual turnover is £,10.2 million or less, and/or you ,have 50 employees or fewer.

The charge exempts PhD-level jobs and international students moving from student to working visas. It also leaves out those in the Intra Company Transfer ,Graduate Trainee category.
