IAAF networking event flourishes as UK Garage & Bodyshop Event shines

Date: Friday 10 June 2022

The automotive aftermarket came out in force this week, as more than 100 IAAF members attended the exclusive networking event at the Genting Hotel, Resorts World, NEC Birmingham on Wednesday 8 June.

Following an extremely busy first day at the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event, members were able to relax and network with other colleagues in a very relaxing environment. Just hours before, IAAF Chief Executive and UK AFCAR Chairman Mark Field and UK AFCAR technical director Neil Pattemore gave a detailed session on the extensive work undertaken to protect and promote the rights and freedoms afforded to the UK automotive aftermarket.

Mark Field, chief executive of IAAF, said:

“This has been a fantastic week for the Federation, and it has been great to get back out there at events and inform members and the wider aftermarket on the extensive work we are doing, from working with colleges and universities to bring in new talent to highlighting the extensive effort with UK govt to protect our sector. In addition, the IAAF member experience continues to develop and we’ve progressed a number of initiatives, which we’ll unveil in the coming months.
“The networking event was a huge success, with the audience buzzing from what was an extremely busy UK Garage & Bodyshop Event. We’ve already begun plans to continue and develop the networking event next year at Automechanika Birmingham 2023.”
