IAAF announces details for next Industry Briefing Session

Date: Friday 10 June 2022

Details for the next Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) Industry Briefing Session on Tuesday 5th July have been announced, which will focus on Digitalisation of the Aftermarket.

Taking place at sales-i Solihull’s offices and online, the Industry Briefing Session provides IAAF members the opportunity to network with other members while also hearing about the Federation’s activity advocating for the needs of the independent aftermarket.

The Digitalisation of the Aftermarket theme will reflect on the changing nature of our market across all sectors of the supply chain and feature guest speakers.

The session will focus on three IAAF member initiatives, Lawgistics’ HR Manager Portal, the Intelligent Motorist Hub and Motorist App, and the Vehicle Parts Market platform, specially developed for motor factors and suppliers with excess stock.

Mike Smallbone, head of membership development at IAAF, said:

“We’re grateful to sales-i Solihull for offering to host us for our latest Industry Briefing Session, where we can deep dive into what implications digitalisation will have on our sector and look at the benefits offered by the new platforms to the independent aftermarket.
“Our Industry Briefing Sessions provide a great deal of insight, and the opportunity for members to meet face to face and network. We have some exciting and informative networking events in store throughout 2022 and urge members to keep up to date via our eBulletin and website to ensure they don’t miss out.”

The second Industry Briefing Session of the year follows a successful first workshop hosted by IAAF member Corteco, which focused on electric vehicles and communication.

The session discussed the effect electrification will have on the aftermarket and featured a live webinar from aftermarket results expert Roberto Dal Corso, from the Dal Corso Group, on how to develop communication skills to keep a team on track when dealing with tough challenges.

The forthcoming Industry Briefing Session on 5th July is one of the leading events in a loaded calendar of events and activities for Federation members, which culminates in a star-studded end-of-year awards ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Milton Keynes on Thursday 8th December.
