BM Catalysts’, Mark Blinston, takes on Off-Road Bike Challenge

Date: Thursday 02 September 2021

BM Catalysts’ Commercial Director, Mark Blinston, will be taking on the London to Brighton Off-Road Bike Ride, Europe’s biggest charity mountain bike event, to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

On 4th September, Blinston will begin the bike ride with a team of friends, cycling a route of 97km, which includes approximately 1,500m of climbing with most of the ride being off-road.

Blinston comments:

“Despite becoming somewhat of a lockdown cycling enthusiast, preparation has involved around 750km of gruelling cycling per month across Zwift and the great outdoors! I'll be riding with my brother and friends from Team Valhalla as we swap our Zwift virtual wheels for real life mountain bikes.
“We’ve already raised over £2,700 in generous donations. We’re extremely grateful to everyone who has shown support so far and cannot wait to begin the challenge!”

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK. However, the charity has faced huge challenges during the pandemic, being forced to cut its research budget in half.

All funds raised by Mark and co in the Off-Road Bike Ride challenge will go directly to supporting the BHF.
