Automotive Support Group December Online Training

10th of December, 2020 saw the first online training event for the Automotive Support Group for content elected from the membership of the group. Subjects covered included continuous professional development training, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle familiarization, business planning and an introduction to the IMI’s Techsafe program.

Although the group has not been created for technical content, Denton’s headline subject of electric vehicle technology proved a thirst for more information for this technology and served as an excellent method to sign post further training. The group offers peer to peer support and experiences of the participant’s training were swiftly shared, directing the enquirers to available training outlets within minutes of the questions being asked.

Crook’s business planning lecture followed the CPD offering from Pells, creating the framework required for directed development within an independent aftermarket business and providing food for thought for business owners seeking to not just survive, but thrive within the sector.
