Ad Bell Group Welcomes Vehicle Wrap Technician, Olivia Cope to the growing team!

Date: Tuesday 20 October 2020

Olivia brings with her experience in vehicle wrapping, window tinting and customer service. When Olivia came for her interview, I was impressed with the bespoke colour of her VW Polo, a pearlescent green and later learned she had wrapped it herself!

A few weeks into her role I wanted to find out more about how she is enjoying her role here and generally getting to know her a little more. Here is what she had to say in the Q&A…

Krysty: Which aspect of the job are you excited about?
Olivia: I’m excited about the variety of jobs within the business and learning new skills.

K: What aspects of work would you like more involvement in?
O: I feel very involved in most of the projects, but I would like to have opportunities in different departments to learn how to they operate.

K: Which are you worried about?
O: I am not worried about any aspects of work as everyone is very helpful and reassuring.

K: What motivates you to come to work?
O: Being around cars and involved in the signage industry is something that really interests me.

K: Tell me about the worst and best day you’ve had so far?
O: I haven’t yet had a bad day at work and my best day was being involved in wrapping two Aston Martin race vehicles and the owner let me have a sneaky little drive of it, most defiantly my best moment so far!

K: Who on the team has been most helpful, and how?
O: Day to day, Matty and Steve have been the most helpful, answering any questions I have and explaining the reasons behind working certain ways which helps me understand and streamlines our workflow and processes.

K: What did you want to be when you were younger?
O: Growing up I wanted to be an architect! I enjoyed the creative aspect at school - I would always love designing unique furniture in DT. Then as I got older, I developed my passion for cars! I would go and watch karting races across England, and it was then that I took an interest in the way the teams showcased their karts with different wrap designs and matching helmets.

When I passed my test and was enjoying the freedom of being behind the wheel, I researched the different career paths within the car industry and came across glass tinting and vehicle wrapping, a perfect career when I could combine my creative side with my passion for cars!

K: What two radio stations do you listen to in the car the most?
O: I listen to Capital Xtra and Kisstory in the car when I’m not listening to my Spotify playlist.

K: Would you rather ride a bike, ride a horse, or drive a car?
O: I would rather drive a car although I have horses and would love to learn how to ride a bike!

K: What motivates you to work hard?
O: I’m a very driven individual which in itself motivates me to work hard and I want to succeed in life and be the best I can be at what I am doing and to help my team!

“Olivia has made a big impact on efficiency of our vehicle wrapping process. Her work ethic, attention to detail and can-do attitude are second to none, fitting into all aspects of our business.”
