HELLA announces changes at the top

Bernard Schäferbarthold’s contract as managing director of the corporate finance, controlling and information technology divisions Hella GmbH has been extended by five years until October 2024.

Meanwhile, Dr. Frank Huber, the deputy managing director for the Lighting business division, will take over the management of the division from CEO Dr. Rolf Breidenbach.

In addition, Stefan Osterhage, a long-standing member of the management board, will retire on 31 May 2019, as planned. His areas of responsibility will be distributed among the existing management board team. The management board will therefore be reduced to a total of five people.

Manfred Wennemer, chairman of the HELLA shareholder committee, said, ‘With our personnel decisions, we support the successful further development of the company and at the same time ensure the necessary experience and continuity in the management of the company.

‘I would like to thank the management board team for their successful work to date and look forward to continuing the successful course with this team. I would like to especially thank Stefan Osterhage, who has played a decisive role in shaping the development of the company in various functions for more than 30 years – the last 12 of which as a member of the management board.’
