Banner Batteries Wins Top Accolade At IAAF Awards

Date: 11-Jan-2017

Having received the prestigious IAAF (Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation) CV Supplier of Excellence award in 2015, Banner Batteries – a globally recognised manufacturer of batteries and battery accessories – has secured another of the Federation’s top accolades this time round.

Fending off the interests of some 19 nominations within the Car Supplier category, Banner was esteemed as the ‘Car Supplier of Excellence’ Award Winner 2016.

Presented to Banner Batteries’ Country Manager, Lee Quinney at the IAAF’s Annual Awards ceremony held at the ICC in Birmingham recently, the event once again attracted another record number of nominations.

As an ecstatic Lee Quinney said: “To build on the success that we enjoyed last year within the CV category is beyond our wildest expectations. To be chosen as the Car Supplier of Excellence against some tough opposition from the aftermarket’s leading exponents makes this award all the more sweeter. It goes without saying that such an achievement would never have been possible had it not been as a result of combined efforts of the whole team at Banner. They continue to work tirelessly to drive forward the company’s ambitious development strategy and the award serves to recognise the hard work, endeavour and enthusiasm that they have shown.

“I would also like to thank the IAAF members that took time to vote for Banner Batteries and they can rest assured that the company has its sights set firmly on building on the success it has achieved in 2016 and beyond. The IAAF Awards are arguably one of the most prestigious within the industry and we are understandably delighted to have come out on top within the Car Supplier of Excellence category, he added.

Voting via the Federation’s website, in the Car Supplier of Excellence category distributors voted on a scale of poor to excellent covering categories such as range, marketing and cataloguing; its availability performance and also sales and promotion support.

The award ceremony was held after the IAAF’s Annual Conference – organised to celebrate another successful year of business, growth and innovation - and attracted almost 600 key industry players from across the UK aftermarket.

Under the stewardship of Country Manager, Lee Quinney who joined Banner Batteries almost two years ago, the company is continuing to make a resurgent push into the UK aftermarket and with marked success. At the heart of its approach and methodology is a focus on Banner’s original equipment pedigree, supplying to the likes of Porsche, BMW, Aston Martin and Mercedes. It is against this backdrop that Banner Batteries is focusing its energies on promoting its position as a complete battery solutions provider.
