Banner Batteries and ECC Motor Factors reaffirm ties

Date: 21-Mar-2017

GROUPAUTO member ECC Motor Factors has announced that it will celebrate its 40th trading anniversary by driving forward its association with Banner Batteries – a European manufacturer of batteries and battery accessories.

A long-term advocate of Banner’s automotive battery product range, ECC Motor Factors has added a new Ford Transit Courier to its delivery vehicle fleet, co-branded and featuring the Banner livery.

Serving to increase the brand visibility of both Banner Batteries and ECC Motor Factors, the van will become a familiar sight within the Huddersfield, Halifax, Brighouse and Calder Valley areas, according to a press release.

As ECC Motor Factors’ founder and director, Nev Sutcliffe states: “Our association with Banner dates back some 16 years, indeed to the time their products first appeared in the UK aftermarket.

“It is fitting, therefore, that the new co-branded van not only serves to reaffirm an association that has been an extremely successful one, but in the year that ECC Motor Factors itself celebrates a 40-year business milestone.

“It is a relationship that has flourished for reasons other than the quality that is so evident in their products, and this is the loyalty and support that they have extended to us over the years.

“Everyone involved in the Banner business has been totally committed to providing ECC Motor Factors with the highest levels of support and this is something that continues today.

“I am confident that our relationship will continue to prosper moving forwards,” added Nev.

Responding, Banner Batteries’ country manager, Lee Quinney, said: “As documented, ECC Motor Factors have been an extremely loyal customer of Banner and we are confident that working together on initiatives such as the co-branded van wrap will only serve to strengthen this association in the future.

“On behalf of everyone at Banner Batteries (GB), I would like to congratulate them on reaching what is an important trading anniversary.

“Our aim is to now continue to work with them in the build up to the half century mark.”

Established in 1977, Elland-based ECC Motor Factors stands as a one-stop-shop for independent garages and bodyshops.

Bucking the traditional trend within the UK aftermarket, the company has a workforce that is currently 75 per cent female and supplies a product range that centres on filters, braking, lubricants, steering and suspension, body panels, radiators, batteries, fuel tanks and sumps, lights and mirrors.
