IAAF confirms Spratt as Chief Executive
The Council of the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) have confirmed Brian Spratt as IAAF Chief Executive, following an in-depth assessment of the Federation's needs.
Council spokesman David Russell, explained, "With the development of the IAAF of the last year and its evolution from the ADF, we have needed time to review the Federation's structure and requirements for the future. Whilst Brian faces many challenges, his knowledge of the Distribution sector will stand him in good stead to take over as Chief Executive of the IAAF. The Directors and Council wish him well in his new position."
There have also been some changes to the Federation's Board of Directors, with Quintin Cornforth, Peter Higgins, Tony Sackett and Richard Welland stepping down as Directors. Graham Knight of FPS Distribution and Jim Sharp of The Quality Factor have agreed to join the Board and other appointments are to follow.
David Russell commented, "On behalf of the Federation's members we would like to thank Tony, Quintin, Richard and Peter for their untiring support for the Federation over many years. Their focus and determination to bring about change in the organisation has lead to the creation of the IAAF and they have built the foundations for the future directors to build on. I would also like to welcome Jim and Graham to the board. Their vast experience of our industry will bring valuable knowledge to the Federation."
Brian Spratt has been with the Federation for 18 years, starting as Trade Secretary in 1992, when Reg Patrick as Director General headed the Automotive Distribution Federation (ADF) Brian became ADF chief executive in 1999.
