2011 Annual Conference and Dinner
Early bookings for this year’s IAAF Conference and Awards Dinner have topped the 300 mark with five weeks to go before the Aftermarket’s best event on the 8th December. Event details and booking forms were posted to members some weeks ago but, if you have not received details, you can download a copy here.
The venue is, as usual, the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. And welcome news in these straightened times is that prices for tickets have been held at the 2010 level for this year’s event.
A full day’s conference activities for IAAF members and colleagues begins at 10:30 in the morning, with refreshments provided beforehand, running through to lunchtime, which is an ideal networking opportunity. The second full session begins at 2 pm, concluding at 4.30 p.m.
The Awards Dinner commences at 7:30 pm, with the IAAF President Nick Best making his address to members, followed by the IAAF ‘Excellence’ Awards presentations.
The usual magnificent meal from the Metropole’s award-winning chefs follows; and then laugh the night away with TV personality, Top Gear’s ‘Original STIG’, ex-Formula 1 racing driver, Perry McCarthy. He’ll be giving the lowdown on Formula1 Racing, as well as TV’s famous motoring show and the stars he’s shown round the track; you are guaranteed a night to remember.
The IAAF looks forward to welcoming members, colleagues and guests to what promises to be a useful and enjoyable day.
